Engenieer and producer is of course again Heinz Hess, our meanwhile BODI.family member. His studio ‘Art Of
June Studios’ is our second home for our second album incl the second song! ….and surely surprises are included
as usual!

With the working title ‘OF WHAT’ the album will contain twelve tracks and one hidden (…the real corporate idendity!),
hotter, faster, slower, louder, calmer as ever before with zynism and sarkasm, love and hate, darkness and sunshine,
blood and wine, tears and beer dictating the major themes…

Our first album ‘we DON’t care’ having crossed all borders, the new album will enter a new dimension!
Colt has even written a blues, a bloody blues, and you will not believe Ringo, sorry, Harry celebrates
his vocals to one track. Charles teaches Axl, Slash ‘n’ Roses how to perform the real ballad and Derek?
He bites with blistering acrimony like glowing razor blades!

“……the spirit of the “fAT stINGRays” presents the new born culture shock “theBODi.es” the experience beyond sex!

In the year 2003 a significant event caused a heavy cultural impact in Germany especially in Frankfurt Rhein-Main at the moment, when the fAT stINGRays decided to shake the music world once more with thunderous Punk music based on the idols of the Sex Pistols, The Ruts or the UK Subs.

At the beginning the establishment was smiling at the ambitions of the band, of which three members were amateur musicians, with a financial advisor on guitar, a banker on bass guitar and a heart surgeon on drums and only one professional, the vocalist and lead guitarist known as The Captain.

After a series of gigs in the region of Hesse, enhanced with a real ‘Special Guest’ on stunt-guitar the competition had to realize and accept very soon, that the fAT stINGRays had to be taken as a serious power force.

The impertinence and briskness how they played the mix of Power-Pop-Punk has even reached the hearts of the most critical audience immediately. At a very fast pace they established to be a cornerstone in the well known Blues-Rock Club “Spritzehaus”. Meanwhile they entered the stages of famous clubs and concert halls in the Frankfurt Rock-Scene like the “Nachtleben”, the “Sinkkasten” or the “Batschkapp” like a thunderstorm.

Their set-list included cover-versions of Ramones- and Sex Pistols-classics, surely as well self penned originals and a selection of surprising and speedy material like e.g. songs from the Beatles, Kinks or Duran Duran. A concert highlight always was their version of Kylie Minogue’s smash hit “Can’t get out of my head”, which also was released on their studio album “soME like it fAT” in December 2005. Needless to say the album, being a strictly limited edition, turned to be one of the highest paid “Collector’s Items”.

The band won over with their coolness to perform their songs depending on their daily mood and to extend their concerts to happenings of extravaganza, of which the meanwhile fully integrated band member on stunt- guitar, Clay Stroker a.k.a. Nik Petrek, was responsible for a big part of it. Though the fAT stINGRays surprised their audience also with concerts strictly unplugged or they played club-gigs with vintage instruments and equipment only, with which they celebrated the original sound of Rock’n’Roll up to climax.

On 21dec2006 the fAT stINGRays said good-bye to The Captain at their show in the ‘Batschkapp’, a hefty night with ‘Peter and the Test Tube Babies’ as headliner.

However the band as quartet has taken a very long time to prepare something, which once started with a lot of enthusiasm involved as the fAT stINGRays to be a nice thing, but which meanwhile is developing to the real thing. In autumn 2007 after Clay Stroker asked for a sabbatical leave and Max Steel had to fulfil his  obligation as financial adviser full time, Harry Shaft and Derek Hammer were joined by two new partners the young pushers Colt Diamond and Charles Cumalot. This high explosive mixture out of two old buddies and two  young lads let the past to forget and caused the fAT stINGRays to mutate to theBODi.es!

The concept in general has not changed, but the new influences increased significantly. For example songs of Jimi Hendrix- or Die Ärzte and of course a variety of new own originals have been taken as new milestones in theBODi.es’ repertoire. Even the bass playing vocalist meanwhile slims down his stomach, in order to embrace the culture shock as a body physically.

Surely most important for us, theBODi.es, to be proud of is our unlimited and never ending fun to unload all our energies until collapsing….
